Brazilian sluggers Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva will serve as opposing coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.”
UFC president Dana White today announced the selections during a pre-UFC 142 press conference in Rio de Janeiro.
The two will coach opposing teams on the first-ever international
edition of “TUF,” which in March debuts on Globo, and will oppose each
other following the conclusion of the series.

Fans of Wanderlei Silva – and by the reception he
got this past Saturday, there are legions of them – both breathed a
sign of relief and cheered when he rebounded from a shaky first round
against Cung Le to earn a TKO in the second.
It was Silva’s last chance to make good in the octagon. He knew it, the
fans knew it, and UFC president Dana White had, in so many words, told
him so.
But despite the triumphant victory, the stakes haven’t much changed for
“The Axe Murderer” moving forward. He knows that another slip could mean
the end of his UFC career.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Wanderlei Silva had his hands full, but after figuring out the puzzle that is kickboxer Cung Le, he got a much-needed win.
Silva used a trademark and well-rounded attack late in the the second round to batter and bloody his middleweight opponent en route to a knockout victory – his first KO win in three-and-a-half years.
The fight co-headlined UFC 139′s pay-per-view main card from HP Pavilion in
San Jose, Calif., following prelims on Facebook and Spike TV.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – MMA legend Wanderlei Silva has
heard his critics loud and clear, but he’s simply not listening.
He’s got more important folks to consider.
“My motivation is back,” Silva told MMAjunkie.com.
“I need to make my fans happy again. I have a lot of fans around the
world. I know Saturday a lot of guys are going to have barbecue in their
homes, and I know my responsibility to the millions and millions and
millions of people that are going to watch that fight. I want to make my
