SAN JOSE, Calif. – Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz will settle their score in the very near future.
UFC president Dana White on Saturday night confirmed that Faber’s UFC
139 win over Brian Bowles was indeed enough to earn “The California Kid”
a quick rematch with UFC bantamweight champion Cruz.
Cruz, of course, defeated Faber in the main event of July’s UFC 132
event. However, Faber remains the only man to have ever beaten Cruz
after downing the then-featherweight in a March 2007 contest under the
WEC banner.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Urijah Faber believes MMA fans and media make too much of too little.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Former WEC champ Brian Bowles sounds like he’s headed to a high-school P.E. class rather than a professional, no-quarter-given cage fight.

In four years under the big lights, Bowles has struggled to find an audience. Now, it sounds a little like he’s giving up looking.

139.
Although not officially announced, UFC 139 is expected to take place

Urijah Faber thought he did enough to take Dominick Cruz’s bantamweight belt.
But when the judges said differently at this past Saturday’s UFC 132 event, he
could only point to one thing that might have led them in opposite
direction he wanted: quantity over quality.
“I’ve got to watch the fight, first off, because you get really
instinctual in there,” Faber said following the pay-per-view event
headliner, which took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. “But
after the fight, the doctor asked me how I feel, and I said, ‘I feel
great.’”
