January’s UFC 142 event today took a major hit as Siyar Bahadurzada, Rob Broughton and Stanislav
Nedkov were all officially scratched from the event.
Additionally, Tatame is reporting that Paulo Thiago has also been forced to withdraw from the card, though UFC
officials have yet to confirm the change.
Replacement opponents have yet to be determined.
The UFC blamed injury for all three official withdrawals.

An intriguing welterweight matchup between Mike Pyle and Paulo Thiago is now official for UFC 142.
Additionally, a heavyweight affair between English slugger Rob Broughton and Brazilian newcomer Ednaldo Oliveira will also take place at the event. UFC execs today announced both contests.

Santos said. “I know if this fight with Eric Prindle goes to the ground,

BIRMINGHAM, England – UFC 138 had the makings of a disaster for former UFC welterweight title challenger Thiago Alves.
A 16-fight UFC veteran, he was criticized for taking on an unknown UFC newcomer in Papy Abedi, and at Friday’s weigh-ins, his past weight-cutting issues seemed to catch up with him again when he initially failed to make weight.
A victory, though, was Alves needed to reassure himself better days are ahead.

Bellator Fighting Championships’ season-five heavyweight-tourney finale between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos is set for Bellator 59.
Bellator officials announced the news on the MTV2 live broadcast of Saturday’s Bellator 56 event.
Bellator 59 takes place Nov. 26 at Caesars Atlantic City in New Jersey. The main card airs on MTV2 (and in high-definition on EPIX) while the prelims stream on Spike.com.

As officials feared, a broken orbital bone has forced Mike Hayes out of Bellator’s current season-five heavyweight tournament.
In his place steps replacement Thiago Santos, who now meets Blagoi Ivanov in a semifinal matchup later this month at Bellator 56, officials today announced.
Bellator 56 takes place Oct. 29 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan.
