A scheduled rematch between Thiago Silva and Brandon Vera will have to wait.
UFC officials today announced that Vera has suffered an undisclosed injury, and a replacement is being sought for his light-heavyweight bout with Silva at May’s UFC on FX 3 event.
The show is scheduled for May 15 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. The night’s main card airs on FX.

contest,” will fight again on May 15 in Fairfax, Va.
As MMAjunkie.com first reported, the UFC is expected to hold an event at
this city’s Patriot Center, though UFC executives have yet to reveal
the venue for the card or where the action will be broadcast.

RIO DE JANEIRO – While it didn’t necessarily deliver on its “Fight of the Night’ expectations, a lightweight bout between Brazil’s Thiago Tavares and Canada’s Sam Stout proved a solid and technical affair.
But after three hard-fought rounds, Tavares ultimately scored another victory for Brazil.
The preliminary-card bout was part of UFC 142 and concluded a on FX prior to the pay-per-view main card. It took place at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

Welterweight Siyar Bahadurzada meets Paulo Thiago at April’s UFC on FUEL TV 2 event in Sweden.

sources. UFC officials first confirmed the matchup with Swedish site
mmanytt.se.
UFC on FUEL TV 2 takes place April 14 at Ericsson Globe Arena in
Stockholm, Sweden. The entire card is expected to air on the FOX-owned
FUEL TV.

Thiago Silva’s career is back online – at least in theory.
The UFC light heavyweight on Sunday served the final day of his license revocation from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Silva’s name is no longer present on a commission registry that tracks
fighters with administrative actions against them, and he is now free to
reapply in Nevada or elsewhere.

January’s UFC 142 event today took a major hit as Siyar Bahadurzada, Rob Broughton and Stanislav
Nedkov were all officially scratched from the event.
Additionally, Tatame is reporting that Paulo Thiago has also been forced to withdraw from the card, though UFC
officials have yet to confirm the change.
Replacement opponents have yet to be determined.
The UFC blamed injury for all three official withdrawals.

An intriguing welterweight matchup between Mike Pyle and Paulo Thiago is now official for UFC 142.
Additionally, a heavyweight affair between English slugger Rob Broughton and Brazilian newcomer Ednaldo Oliveira will also take place at the event. UFC execs today announced both contests.

But in advance of Saturday’s Bellator 59 event, heavyweight tournament
