Following Thursday’s announcement that veteran ESPN broadcaster Jon Anik has joined the UFC broadcasting team, officials today detailed some of his new duties with the promotion.
Anik, the longtime host of “MMA Live” on ESPN2 and ESPN.com, has officially joined the UFC as a play-by-play man.
The duties include broadcasts on both FX and FUEL TV.

LAS VEGAS – Jon Anik has joined the UFC family.
UFC president Dana White today announced that the veteran broadcaster, who’s been the longtime host and anchor of the weekly “MMA Live” show on ESPN2, has joined the UFC broadcasting team.
Anik will commentate UFC Fight Night and The Ultimate Fighter Finale events on FX, and he’ll also call the action for the live “TUF” episodes that begin airing on the cable station in 2012.

UFC co-creator Art Davie promised an aggressive relaunch of his
combat-sports concept XARM, and his latest move seems to echo that
sentiment.
MMAjunkie.com has confirmed with Davie that his
promotion has teamed up with noted TV producer SallyAnn Salsano to
produce XARM’s forthcoming live events and a reality-based series.
Salsano, the founder and president of 495 Productions, a
California-based firm responsible for the production of “Jersey Shore,”
as well other current and past reality hits such as “Repo Games,”
“Disaster Date,” “Tool Academy,” “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila” and
“Nashville Star,” among others.
