A welterweight bout between Mike Swick and Brazilian newcomer Erick Silva is now official for UFC 134.
MMAjunkie.com passed along news of the bout this past month, and officials recently made it official.
The bout likely will be part of the preliminary card of UFC 134, which takes place Aug. 27 at HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro. The pay-per-view headliner pits
middleweight champion Anderson Silva against Yushin Okami.

After sitting out a year and a half due to stomach ailments that previously were misdiagnosed, Mike Swick makes his return in August against Brazilian newcomer Erick Silva at UFC 134 in Brazil.
MMAjunkie.com today confirmed verbal agreements are in place for the welterweight bout, which Sherdog.com first reported.
UFC 134 takes place Aug. 27 at HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro. The pay-per-view headliner pits middleweight champion Anderson Silva against Yushin Okami.

A welterweight bout between Mike Swick and David Mitchell has been scratched from next month’s “UFC Fight Night 23: UFC Fight for the Troops 2″ event.
Swick announced the change via Facebook.
According to the American Kickboxing Academy fighter, Mitchell suffered an injury, and Swick opted to pull out of the show due to his own “esophageal condition.”
