Sarah Kaufman is willing to eat a punch to dish out a few.
As the personable 135-pounder said after her win over Alexis Davis at this past weekend’s “Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey” event, you simply needed to look at her bruised-up face for proof of that philosophy.
But despite a grueling three-rounder that she ultimately won, Kaufman today told MMAjunkie.com Radio she’s ready to challenge for new champ Ronda Rousey’s belt whenever Strikeforce officials want to do it.

The California State Athletic Commission today voted 4-2 to grant Josh Barnett a conditional license to fight in the Golden State.
The decision clears the way for the finals of the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix, which is targeted for May 19 in San Jose, Calif. Barnett meets Daniel Cormier in the tournament finale.
As part of his licensing, Barnett will be required to submit clean drug tests prior to any fight in California and could be subject to a revocation should he test positive for banned substances.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The long-awaited conclusion to Strikeforce’s heavyweight grand prix is slated for May 19.
Strikeforce and Showtime today announced Josh Barnett will meet fellow finalist and injury replacement Daniel Cormier at the upcoming show.
The event takes place May 19. The main card, including Barnett vs. Cormier, airs on Showtime while preliminary-card bouts air on Showtime Extreme.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Josh Thomson was mad at the performance he gave against K.J. Noons, and he cursed when asked to rate it afterward.
Despite dominating every round and winning a unanimous decision, Thomson’s anger was replaced by near-tears in the locker room.
A resolution never to fight like that again then followed.

After 15 minutes of back-and-forth action, Kaufman earned a majority-decision victory over a very game Alexis Davis.
The fight was the featured attraction on the Showtime Extreme-televised preliminary card of Saturday’s “Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey” event, which took place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

K.J. Noons was predictable in his earlier MMA career, and the footage shows it.

Josh Thomson would understand if fans have forgotten about him.
After all, it’s been 15 months since he most recently fought on U.S. soil, and when he did, the crowd wasn’t altogether happy with the judges’ judgement.
Then add in the rest of the time he’s spent on the bench nursing this injury or that, and well, even he might have lost track if he were sitting in the stands.
