Ronda Rousey says she comes from a family of quick-witted, accomplished women who don’t back down.
For those aggravated by her approach to the MMA business, she has one thing to say: you’re welcome.
“I don’t think any girl can grasp what I’m trying to do,” Rousey told MMAjunkie.com.

In hopes of finding the cause of a positive test for an anabolic steroid, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal’s manager, Mike Kogan, today sent to the Nevada attorney general’s office a full list of the supplements and medications the fighter took.
After reviewing the list, the attorney general may ask Lawal to appear before the NSAC in March.
The former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champ continues to maintain his innocence two days after the NSAC said his post-fight drug test revealed the presence of the steroid Drostanlone.

Seven months after he broke his right hand, Strikeforce heavyweight
Daniel Cormier is still unsure of when he’ll be ready
to fight Josh Barnett.
“I would imagine they would wait, and I think they should,” Cormier told
MMAjunkie.com. “I think Strikeforce needs some
closure to that division.”
Cormier is today scheduled for an MRI, and he expects to get a final
word on when and if he can fight. Until then, he can’t commit to any

The future of the Strikeforce 145-pound women’s division changed drastically this past week with news that champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos had tested positive for a steroid metabolite.

With Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal’s emphatic win over Lorenz Larkin this past Saturday, Strikeforce’s field of viable contenders further dwindled.
A light-heavyweight title is up for grabs, and all signs point to a rematch between former champs Lawal and Gegard Mousasi in the second quarter of this year.
Lawal, who knocked out Larkin at “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine,” isn’t exactly excited about the fight, but he doesn’t have much choice.

LAS VEGAS – Soon, the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix will come to a conclusion, and the entire division then will be sent to the UFC.
But first, the tournament champion – either Josh Barnett or Daniel Cormier – will get one more Strikeforce fight against an opponent to be determined.
While Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said some of those options were eliminated when the UFC gobbled up a handful of Strikeforce fighters for upcoming cards, one famous Russian remains a possibility.

LAS VEGAS – In MMA, especially with smaller promotions, an entire division can be propped up by a single dominant fighter.
However, with Strikeforce’s women’s 145-pound division, could the loss of its champion and pound-for-pound queenpin actually save it?
On Saturday Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos’ yearlong suspension for a failed drug test could actually result in an influx of talent and perhaps event a brighter future for the division.

Rest assured that Keith Jardine is just as concerned about his weight as everyone else. Even he’s expressed doubts looking at the numbers on the scale in recent weeks.
He hired a nutritionist to drop weight. Shouldn’t those numbers be smaller?
The answer is no – at least if he’s asking said nutritionist. Mike Dolce has been tinkering with calories longer than Jardine, and there’s not a bit of worry in the nutritionist about the Strikeforce title challenger’s path to middleweight.
