percentage growth in followers” categories during the company’s
most-recent quarterly contest.

event that Derek Brunson faces former Strikeforce champ Ronaldo ‘Jacare’
Souza, and Lumumba Sayers meets Scott Smith.
“Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey” takes place at Nationwide Arena
in Columbus, Ohio, and coincides with the annual Arnold Sports
Festival. The main card airs on Showtime, and prelims air on Showtime
Extreme.

CHICAGO – Welcome to the big show, Lavar Johnson.
Johnson, the first Strikeforce heavyweight to compete in the UFC following the recent Showtime-Strikeforce television deal, managed to accomplish something no other UFC fighter had ever done to Joey Beltran: stop him with strikes.
The fight took place on the FUEL TV-televised preliminary card of Saturday’s UFC on FOX 2 event, which took place at Chicago’s United Center.

Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champ Miesha Tate readily admits she
doesn’t think Ronda Rousey is deserving of a shot at her belt.
That said, she also realizes Rousey does possess legitimate grappling
skills that must be addressed in their March 3 headlining contest.
But Tate also believes her own skillset is being greatly underestimated
by many MMA fans and pundits, not to mention Rousey. And while
“Takedown” earned her fighting nickname due to her wrestling pedigree,
she thinks “Rowdy” best be ready to throw hands.
