With barker extraordinaire Chael Sonnen largely electing to pass on any
pre-fight trashtalk for next week’s UFC on FOX 2 event, someone had to
take the reigns of Friday’s media call.
Rashad Evans and Phil Davis did exactly that.
The former light heavyweight champ, who through most of the call had
been rather subdued, decided it was time to spice things up a bit and
launched into a verbal tirade that called into question opponent Phil
Davis’ mentality as fighter as well as calling him a “boy” unready for
his time in the spotlight.

This past month, Ben Henderson got a taste of the UFC spotlight.
At the UFC’s debut event on network television, he felt the electricity running through the crowd for a UFC on FOX 1 championship headliner between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos.

Pat Healy is not an attractive opponent for the up-and-coming.
He’s got a tremendous number of fights on his resume, for one, and he’s beaten some big names before they were big. He’s lost to just as much to top-tier talent, but the ratio between his successes and failures is enough to give resume-builders pause.
Here’s the way managers probably pitch it: You’ll probably win, but it’s going to be a really, really tough fight.
