TORONTO – UFC lightweight Mark Bocek (9-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) spent 15 minutes
in the cage with current No. 1 contender Ben Henderson and knew
something had to change.
Fighting in front of the largest crowd in North American MMA history at
this past April’s UFC 129 event, Bocek knew he had been defeated, and it
was a feeling he didn’t like.
So Bocek promptly relocated his camp to Montreal’s famed Tristar Gym and
reinvented himself. Wipe the slate clean, says Bocek. The real work
starts Saturday night.

Two “Fight of the Night” bonuses in three career UFC fights may go a
long way in paying the bills, but it doesn’t necessarily translate in
the win column.
This is the predicament Jared Hamman finds himself
in after registering one victory over that span. He’s clearly
appreciated by the promotion, but nobody’s employment is ever too safe.
It’s precisely why he decided to get out in front of his career and
attempt a reinvention of sorts with a move down to middleweight. His
first test will come in the form of former “Ultimate Fighter 7″ finalist
C.B. Dollaway.

World Victory Road’s Sengoku event series returns Oct. 30 with Sengoku Raiden Championship 15.
The event features the semifinal round of Japanese-based organization’s welterweight grand prix and the quarterfinal round of the 20-man Asian bantamweight tournament.
The event, which is expected to air on HDNet, takes place at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.
