The Texas-based Legacy Fighting Championships has signed fast-rising prospect Lucas Pimenta for its upcoming HDNet-televised events.

Legacy promoter Mick Maynard today confirmed the signing with MMAjunkie.com.

Pimenta, a Brazilian welterweight and onetime Bellator fighter, sports an undefeated 5-0 record. He’s expected to debut in May.

The fighter’s management team at Alchemist Management today announced the deal.

UFC veteran Jon Madsen is the latest addition to Bellator Fighting Championships’ heavyweight roster.

Madsen’s trainer and manager, Marc Fiore of Fiore MMA, today told
MMAjunkie.com that the fighter this past month inked
a deal that will see him compete in the promotion’s next heavyweight
tournament.

The timing of such a tournament is up in the air. A Bellator official
said there are currently no plans for the heavyweights in its upcoming
sixth season, but a tournament is planned for this year.

Undefeated Shane Del Rosario is the latest fighter to move from Strikeforce to its sister promotion, the UFC.

The heavyweight fighter’s manager, Jason House of the Iridium Sports Agency, recently tweeted news of the new contract.

A date and opponent were not disclosed for Del Rosario’s promotional debut.

A source close to the fighter today confirmed to MMAjunkie.com that Nick Denis, also known as “The Ninja of Love,” has signed a multi-fight deal with the industry-leading promotion.

It’s not yet known when Denis will make his octagon debut.

Strikeforce’s future still remains unclear, but if things indeed are
“business as usual,” welterweight veteran Bobby Voelker could be a part of the promotion for five more fights.

Voelker’s management team, the Missouri-based Elite MMA Management,
today confirmed their client has signed a five-fight contract extension
with the promotion.

“This will be a great opportunity for Bobby Voelker to continue his
career with a great company,” Elite MMA Management vice president Rob
Donaker stated in the official release.

Top Swedish lightweight prospect Reza Madadi has
signed a multi-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is
expected to make a January debut.

MMAjunkie.com confirmed the signing, which was first reported by MMAViking.com, with UFC officials.

Madadi is expected to make his debut at January’s UFC on FX 1 event,
though his opponent has yet to be officially determined. Brazilian vet
Rafaello Oliveira is said to be a leading candidate.
