He hated the report, knew he would hate it, and told the world he hated it as soon as ESPN hit “publish.”
But UFC president Dana White said he’s communicating again with the
sports news giant since a report on fighter pay got everyone talking.
White didn’t characterize the nature of the talks but said, “we’re working on this relationship.”

CHICAGO – Here’s a statistic for you, courtesy of Michael Bisping: Seven out of
his eight most recent opponents went to the hospital after fighting him.
“That’s a 100 percent (true) statistic – ask the UFC,” Bisping said Wednesday. “Fingers crossed, on Saturday night, it’s
going to be the exact same thing.”
The British middleweight admits that won’t be easy. He’s likely to spend
15 minutes defending takedowns and getting off his back when he meets
Chael Sonnen on Saturday at UFC on FOX 2.

CHICAGO – Regardless of what Chael Sonnen says, should he defeat Michael Bisping at Saturday’s UFC on FOX 2 event, Anderson Silva is next.
UFC president Dana White clarified the organization’s plans at today’s UFC on FOX 2 pre-event presser in Chicago.
“Chael is nuts,” White told MMAjunkie.com. “He says
all kinds of crazy things. … He will fight Anderson Silva if he wins.”

Both “The Ultimate Fighter 12″ veteran Michael Johnson and former WEC contender Shane Roller are in need of a win at Saturday night’s UFC on FOX 2 event.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Veteran fighter Jorge Rivera’s mind was made up a long time ago – well before he finally clued in UFC officials.
At Thursday’s UFC on FX 1 weigh-ins, he finally told his longtime employers what he had decided nearly three months earlier: Friday’s fight with middleweight Eric Schafer would be the last of his career.
Following an impressive second-round TKO victory, 39-year-old “El Conquistador” told MMAjunkie.com there’d be no changing his mind.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Melvin Guillard is stuck in a two-fight skid, but the two losses couldn’t be more different in his eyes.
After putting together an 8-1 run, Guillard was knocking on the door of a UFC title shot before a heart-breaking, gut-wrenching 47-second defeat to Joe Lauzon in October.
Guillard’s latest loss, though – which came to Jim Miller in Friday’s UFC on FX 1 headliner – is a bit easier to swallow.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jim Miller hopes his latest victory was enough to erase the memory of a recent loss and puts him back in the title picture.
Forgive him, though, if he doesn’t exactly remember the details of the performance.
In the main event of Friday’s UFC on FX 1 event in Nashville, Tenn., Miller said early troubles dished out by opponent Melvin Guillard forced him to rely on his training. At that point, instincts took over.

With barker extraordinaire Chael Sonnen largely electing to pass on any
pre-fight trashtalk for next week’s UFC on FOX 2 event, someone had to
take the reigns of Friday’s media call.
Rashad Evans and Phil Davis did exactly that.
The former light heavyweight champ, who through most of the call had
been rather subdued, decided it was time to spice things up a bit and
launched into a verbal tirade that called into question opponent Phil
Davis’ mentality as fighter as well as calling him a “boy” unready for
his time in the spotlight.

With the exception of injuries or an act of God, Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort will fight after Belfort meets Anthony Johnson on Saturday at UFC 142.
How much does Silva want to fight Belfort?
“A lot,” he told MMAjunkie.com during open workouts for the pay-per-view event, which takes place at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. “This is one fight I really, really want to do before I retire. I’m so happy for a fight with this guy in Brazil.”
