SAN JOSE, Calif. – Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz will settle their score in the very near future.
UFC president Dana White on Saturday night confirmed that Faber’s UFC
139 win over Brian Bowles was indeed enough to earn “The California Kid”
a quick rematch with UFC bantamweight champion Cruz.
Cruz, of course, defeated Faber in the main event of July’s UFC 132
event. However, Faber remains the only man to have ever beaten Cruz
after downing the then-featherweight in a March 2007 contest under the
WEC banner.

Nick Diaz, PR genius?
The outspoken and sometimes controversial former Strikeforce champion has both delighted and baffled MMA fans
with his trashtalking and open challenges to MMA superstars such as UFC
champ Georges St-Pierre.
And while his rants often seem a bit random in their focus, Diaz on
Monday’s new edition of HDNet’s “Inside MMA” seemed to reveal that he’s
been following a master plan all along: To the villain goes the spoils.

the promotion’s season-five tournament with flying colors, knocking out
Vitor O’Donnell to earn a spot in the semis opposite season-two champ
Alexander Shlemenko at Saturday’s Bellator 54, which
takes place at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
Sure, fighting three times in three months is a daunting task, as anyone
competing in the promotion can attest. But at least you know what
you’re getting into, which is more than Rogers can say about the hip-hop
flavored MMA reality show that aired in 2009 and almost immediately
fizzled.
