Miltinho Vieira, a veteran competitor who’s credited with the invention of the anaconda choke, has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC.

The fighter’s management team at Alchemist Management today announced the deal.

No debut date or opponent have been announced for the featherweight fighter.

Nearly one year to the day after Spike TV debuted ‘Best of PRIDE,’ the series will make a similar introduction on FUEL TV.

FUEL TV officials recently announced ‘Best of PRIDE’ will make its first appearance on the channel on Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

MMAjunkie.com has learned that current plans include for the debut episode to include Fedor Emelianenko vs. Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Quinton “Rampage” Jackosn vs. Ricardo Arona, Dan Henderson vs. Renzo Gracie, Wanderlei Silva vs. Ikuhisa Minowa and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Mark Coleman.

U.S. MMA history, the UFC’s pay-per-view train rolls on with a
five-course combat meal to this past weekend’s UFC on FOX appetizer.

No fewer than six former big-show champions grace the main card of UFC
139, though some sit more comfortably than others in long-term
viability.

And while no immediate title shots are promised, the winner of a main
event between the highly decorated Dan Henderson and former UFC
light-heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua could take the job with
an impressive performance.

Krzysztof Soszynski isn’t letting unexpected opponent changes dampen his spirit as he prepared to fighte in front of his Canadian fans Saturday night at Rogers Arena.

After scheduled opponents Anthony Perosh and Igor Pokrajac were both forced of the card with injuries, Mike Massenzio stepped in as the third opponent for Soszynski.

Soszynski is 8-2 over his past 10 fights, and he hasn’t let the changes affect his preparation leading into the Facebook-streamed fight, which takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
