RIO DE JANEIRO – UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is just about done with his vacation.
UFC president Dana White told MMAjunkie.com he’s
currently working on Jones’ next outing, and both the champ and the
promotion hope to book that sooner rather than later.

Strikeforce light heavyweight Trevor Smith likes to dive for leg locks when he’s in trouble on the feet, and he said he told referee Kim Winslow as much prior to a weekend bout.
“I said if I get hit, I like to dive for legs and go under, so just make sure you don’t stop the fight unless I’m out cold and taking a number of blows,” Smith today told MMAjunkie.com.
“She made some kind of comment like, ‘I’ve been doing this for a while – I know how to stop fights.’”

The U.K.-based Cage Warriors Fighting Championships continues its
aggressive international expansion, and the promotion is now planning on
hosting 16 events in 2012.
Cage Warriors director Graham Boylan credited the continued growth to a
new partnership with Sky Stone Production and Entertainment FZ, which
will see the Dubai-based company manage Cage Warriors’ international
schedule.
“With a schedule of 16 shows in 2012, Sky Stone linking up with Cage
Warriors will take the promotion to a whole new level,” Boylan stated.
