A former pro footballing great, one-time Olympic bobsledder and current
successful entrepreneur (in addition to his role as an MMA fighter), Strikeforce heavyweight Herschel Walker has just about seen it all.
But with his first taste of MMA behind him and a second helping on the
way in January, Walker has a few things he’d like to see happen in the
fast-growing sport.
First, Walker would like to see MMA in the Olympics. Second, he’d like

For years, many mixed martial arts fans have wondered aloud why their favorite sport isn’t a part of the Olympic Games.
After all, with boxing, judo, wrestling and tae kwon do already slated
as modern Olympic events, what’s the problem with adding the arts together?
That’s an argument for another time and place. UFC president Dana White

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – In a supposed four-year campaign for the UFC middleweight belt, contender Chael Sonnen has cast a lot of stones in the direction of current 185-pound title-holder Anderson Silva.
And a Friday appearance at a UFC Fight Club Q&A session at GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, gave him free reign to trash the champion – with often hilarious results.
But Sonnen, a man whose political aspirations have prompted him to run for the Oregon Legislative Assembly, risked an unpopular stance when he cast a stone at the Olympic aspirations of a Canadian hero, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.
