Five-time UFC veteran Jorge Santiago meets Nova Uniao product
Leonardo Pecanha in the main event of next month’s Titan Fighting
Championship 21 event.
The event marks Santiago’s first action since his October release from the UFC.
“I train with the best coaches and some
of the best fighters in the world,” Santiago
stated in an official release. “I’ve never felt better or more ready,
and at Titan Fighting 21, I’m going to make a fight nobody will forget -
especially Leonardo Pecanha.”

As expected, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will face Rashad Evans in the main event
of UFC 145.
UFC officials recently confirmed that the two former teammates will fight in Atlanta on April 21. As MMAjunkie.com previously reported, tickets for the event go on sale next week.
Evans defeated Phil Davis at January’s UFC on FOX 2 event to earn a shot at the belt.

A featherweight matchup between “The Ultimate Fighter 14″ cast member
Akira Corassani and Brit Jason Young is now official for the prelims of April’s UFC on FUEL TV 2 event
in Sweden.
MMAjunkie.com originally passed on news of the contest in January.
UFC on FUEL TV 2 takes place April 14 at Ericsson Globe Arena in
Stockholm. The main card airs on FUEL TV (live on Saturday afternoon in
the U.S.), and as MMAjunkie.com first reported, the prelims are expected
to stream on Facebook.

UFC executives today officially announced that the previously reported
fight card will indeed air on FX and serve as UFC on FX 3.
Additionally, a previously reported bout between Tom Lawlor and Jason MacDonald is also official for the event.

It’s official: UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will fight in Hotlanta.
UFC officials announced on Saturday night that a previously rumored April 21
event in Atlanta’s Philips Arena will serve as UFC 145, and Jones will
fight a yet-to-be-named opponent in the evening’s main event.
“Fans in Atlanta have been tweeting me and telling me over and over
again to bring the UFC back to their city,” UFC president Dana White
stated. “Well, guess what Atlanta? The UFC is coming back to Atlanta
with the sport’s fastest-rising star, Jon Jones, defending his light
heavyweight title.”

fighter weigh-ins, where all 20 event competitors successfully made
weight for Saturday’s event.
Today’s festivities took place at The Chicago Theatre, and a vocal crowd
made their presence known as event headliners Rashad Evans (205) and
Phil Davis (205) hit the scale.
Co-headliners Michael Bisping (185) and Chael Sonnen (185) also received
vocal welcomes before standing forehead-to-forehead and engaging in a
little last-minute trashtalk.

With official confirmation of a final preliminary-card bout, the lineup for next month’s UFC 143 event is now complete with 11 fights.
The final addition to the card is a welterweight bout between Dan Stittgen and fellow newcomer/injury replacement Stephen Thompson.
UFC 143 takes place Feb. 4 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Main-card action airs live on pay-per-view while FX carries the preliminary card.
