NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. – If you need proof that MMA is the combat sport of the future, look no further than the Richard
Steele Boxing Club in Las Vegas.
The five-year-old nonprofit gym on Thursday took its MMA program to the next level.
The gym’s MMA program already has more than 55 kids enrolled. On Thursday, UFC officials partnered with Century Martial Arts to donate thousands of dollars of gloves, bags and other equipment to help fund the program’s growing needs.

Nate Marqaurdt is heading across the Pond.
British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) officials today
announced a multi-fight contract with the former UFC contender and King
of Pancrase.
“As soon as we received word that the Pennsylvania State Athletic
Commission lifted Marquardt’s suspension, we jumped at the chance to
sign him,” BAMMA exec Liam Fisher stated. “He is a top-ranked contender
and an asset to any promotion. Words cannot express how excited we are
that Marquardt is now fighting under the BAMMA banner.”

While former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida is currently focused on regaining his championship belt, he’s also looking to his own future after fighting, as well as the development of the sport of mixed martial arts.
Machida hopes to one day bring his family’s style of martial arts to the U.S., and he also hope to see some changes made in the structure of MMA.
