Two UFC notables have been booked for a grappling superfight at next weekend’s UFC Fan Expo event in Houston.
Recent UFC Fight Night 25 winner and Texas native T.J. Waldburger will
meet “The Ultimate Fighter 12″ cast member Marc Stevens in one of the
expo’s two grappling superfights.
Event officials confirmed the exhibition, which the UFC and Grapplers Quest have organized, with MMAjunkie.com.

Canadian mixed martial artist Marc Holst says his next MMA fight will be his last.
The former UFC lightweight announced Friday that he has decided to hang
up his four-ounce gloves in order to focus on tournament competition and
the opening of a new martial arts school.
“I decided to take a step back and work on my weaknesses,” he wrote Friday on his personal website.

“The Ultimate Fighter 12″ veteran Marc Stevens is
expected to meet Renzo Gracie pupil John Cholish in a
preliminary card fight at “Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Silva.”
MMAjunkie.com learned from sources close to the
negotiations that verbal agreements are in place for the bout with
contracts expected shortly.
“Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Silva” takes place Feb. 12 at the
IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J., and features the quarterfinals of
the promotion’s eight-man heavyweight grand prix.

Depending on who you talk to, the top welterweight contender is either a future champion of the sport or a wretched villain.
For “TUF 12″ cast member Marc Stevens, the emotion is somewhere
in between. You see, Stevens wrestled under Koscheck’s tutelage at
the University at Buffalo, and when he saw his coach on the original season
of “TUF,” the pupil thought he might as well give it a shot, too.
