Unless you’re a fan of the West Coast regional MMA scene, you might not know the name Gareth Joseph.
Of course, with all the restlessness Joseph faced on his trip from
California to Lebanon for Saturday’s Cage Warriors Fight Night 3 event,
his name almost became a matter of public record.
“Sitting down for so long, I just had to keep getting up,” Jospeh said. “And I was drinking a ton
of water at the time, so getting up and down from the seat to go to the
restroom and stretching my legs. I was doing squats in between the
bathroom and the hallway.”

The UFC kicks off a new event series on Friday with UFC on FX 1.
The event, which features a Melvin Guillard vs. Jim Miller lightweight main event, airs on two FOX-owned channels in the U.S.; FX airs the main card, and FUEL TV airs the prelims.
However, a number of other outlets have been secured to air the show in international markets.

RIO DE JANEIRO – In the 13 weeks between Saturday and April 14, the UFC will leave North America for events in Brazil, Japan, Australia and Sweden.
Throw in March’s UFC 145 in Montreal, and you have a staggering five international shows in just three months.
The international schedule will slow later this year, UFC executive Marshall Zelaznik today told MMAjunkie.com, but it won’t stop.

The U.K.-based Cage Warriors promotions will continue its international expansion with an aggressive 2012 schedule that includes trips to at least six different countries.
The schedule includes stops in England, Jordan, Ireland, Turkey and Hungary, officials today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com.
The promotion, which launched in 2002, recently held its 46th event, which streamed live on MMAjunkie.com.

UFC president Dana White is still hanging “TUF” with the Philippines,
but his promotion is not quite there in mounting its first international
version of the reality show.
“We’re like one piece away from finishing the thing,” White told
reporters following UFC 130, which took place this past Saturday at the
MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
That piece, however, could be the start of a much more ambitious drive
to create a world grand prix of international competitors on “The
Ultimate Fighter,” he added.
