Tito Ortiz thinks he has just one more fight left in his illustrious career, and he hopes it’ll come against Forrest Griffin.

The former light-heavyweight champion and future UFC Hall of Famer joined MMAjunkie.com Radio on Friday night and confirmed that his next fight will be his last.

“I just turned 37 years old,” he said. “I’ve been in the game for 15 years and competing only with the UFC. I know it’s time for me to kind of hang ‘em up.”

TORONTO – Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz may finally be ready to call it quits.

On the eve of his UFC 140 matchup with fellow longtime vet Antonio
Rogerio Nogueira, Ortiz believes he’s finally -
thankfully – healthy, but that’s precisely the point.

With kids at home that need a father, Ortiz remembers what it was like
to have absentee parents. And with all that fighting has given to him
over the years, Ortiz refuses to let the sport take away future quality
time with his family.

If you ask Bart Palaszewski, it’s not up to him whether he has a fight on Saturday. It’s up to his opponent, Tyson Griffin.

“Tyson comes to fight for the most part, so as long as he’s down, I’m always down,” Palaszewski told MMAjunkie.com Radio.

That “for the most part” could easily be substituted with “when he doesn’t lie on people.” Griffin has that striking Kryptonite of wrestling as one tool in his toolbox, and that’s why Palaszewski is cautiously optimistic about what’s going to happen when they meet.

Medical suspensions were issued to 16 fighters from this past weekend’s UFC 134 event, and four fighters – including Forrest Griffin, Stanislav Nedkov, Raphael Assuncao and Ian Loveland – could be out up to six months.

UFC 134 took place Aug. 27 at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena.

Zuffa LLC, the UFC’s parent company, oversaw the suspensions and regulatory processes due to the lack of an official sanctioning body in Brazil.
