Tito Ortiz thinks he has just one more fight left in his illustrious career, and he hopes it’ll come against Forrest Griffin.
The former light-heavyweight champion and future UFC Hall of Famer joined MMAjunkie.com Radio on Friday night and confirmed that his next fight will be his last.
“I just turned 37 years old,” he said. “I’ve been in the game for 15 years and competing only with the UFC. I know it’s time for me to kind of hang ‘em up.”

The UFC continues to add fan-driven activities to next week’s
blockbuster “UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem” fight-week schedule, and an
autograph session featuring three fan-favorite fighters is the latest
addition to the roster of events.
Prior to Thursday’s official UFC 141 weigh-ins, UFC bantamweight
champion Dominick Cruz, former light heavyweight champion Forrest
Griffin and heavyweight contender Roy Nelson will sign autographs for
fans free of charge.
The session is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT local time) on the concourse of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Rogerio Nogueira, Ortiz believes he’s finally -
thankfully – healthy, but that’s precisely the point.
With kids at home that need a father, Ortiz remembers what it was like
to have absentee parents. And with all that fighting has given to him
over the years, Ortiz refuses to let the sport take away future quality
time with his family.

If you ask Bart Palaszewski, it’s not up to him whether he has a fight on Saturday. It’s up to his opponent, Tyson Griffin.
“Tyson comes to fight for the most part, so as long as he’s down, I’m always down,” Palaszewski told MMAjunkie.com Radio.
That “for the most part” could easily be substituted with “when he doesn’t lie on people.” Griffin has that striking Kryptonite of wrestling as one tool in his toolbox, and that’s why Palaszewski is cautiously optimistic about what’s going to happen when they meet.

Mixed martial arts fans are invited to train with Forrest Griffin, Tito Ortiz and Frank Mir.
UFC officials recently announced that the three fighters will each host
two-hour training and development sessions at October’s UFC Fan Expo
Houston.
Scheduled in conjunction with conjunction with “UFC 136: Edgar vs.
Maynard III,” the two-day UFC Fan Expo Houston Oct. 7-8 at Houston’s
George R. Brown Convention Center.

In advance of his fight with Bart Palaszewski at UFC 137, Tyson Griffin is drumming up support for a local charity.
The UFC featherweight is conducting a raffle to benefit Boys Town of
Nevada, an organization dedicated that cares for troubled youth and
families.
One lucky winner will get two tickets to the pay-per-view event, which
takes place Oct. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, as well as two
tickets to Griffin’s afterparty.

Medical suspensions were issued to 16 fighters from this past weekend’s UFC 134 event, and four fighters – including Forrest Griffin, Stanislav Nedkov, Raphael Assuncao and Ian Loveland – could be out up to six months.
UFC 134 took place Aug. 27 at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena.
Zuffa LLC, the UFC’s parent company, oversaw the suspensions and regulatory processes due to the lack of an official sanctioning body in Brazil.
