FUEL TV debuted “Countdown to UFC 143″ on Tuesday evening, and the full
video of the 30-minute episode is now available for free viewing.
The show previews Saturday’s UFC 143 event, a pay-per-view show that takes place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Among those featured in the special are headliners and title-fight
participants Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit, as well as Roy Nelson vs.
Fabricio Werdum and Josh Koscheck vs. Mike Pierce.

It’s obvious the UFC’s problems with ESPN go well beyond this weekend’s “Outside the Lines” piece on fighter pay.
UFC president Dana White today introduced a scathing video about ESPN and its practices.
In addition to complaining about the “Outside the Lines” piece, White
took ESPN to task for what he perceives to be shoddy coverage of the
sport and specifically MMA.

RIO DE JANEIRO – With 10 years worth of MMA experience under his belt,
it would be understandable if Brazilian welterweight Carlo Prater was a
little bitter it took him 40 fights make it to the UFC.
Perhaps surprisingly, he’s not.
“I think this is the right time,” Prater told MMAjunkie.com. “I’m not going to lie. I’ve said before that I
should have been in there, but I don’t think so now that I’m more
level-headed.”

Junior Dos Santos doesn’t need that much time to be ready for “The Reem.”
The UFC heavyweight champion today called into MMAjunkie.com Radio, where he assured fans that a recent knee injury won’t keep him out of action for long.
“In another 20 days, I’ll be feeling 100 percent again,” Dos Santos said. “Then I need two-and-a-half (months) to do my camp, and then I’m ready to do.”

“Countdown to UFC 142,” the official event-preview show for this weekend’s UFC 142 event, recently debuted on FUEL TV.
Now, the half-hour program is available for free viewing online.
Check out the show, which features UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo
and fellow main-event fighter Chad Mendes, as well as middleweight
co-headliners Anthony Johnson and Vitor Belfort.

Alistair Overeem was paid in full for UFC 141.
Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer today
told MMAjunkie.com that he did not withhold any
portion of the heavyweight’s purse, as ordered by a Nevada judge.
A UFC official confirmed that a $200,000 bond required to execute the order was not deposited prior to the event.

LAS VEGAS – UFC welterweights Matt Riddle and Luis
Ramos lost the opportunity to compete at UFC 141,
but they did not lose out on a paycheck.
In fact, according to UFC officials, both fighters went home with not
only their “show” money but also with their win bonuses, as well.
