Milton Vieira will still fight at Strikeforce Challengers 18.
Strikeforce officials today announced that Sterling Ford has agreed to return to action three weeks after his promotional
debut in order to take on the grappling specialist.
Vieira had been expected to face Bobby Green, but
“King” was pulled from the fight in favor of a bout with Gesias “JZ”
Cavalcante at this weekend’s “Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs.
Henderson” event.

After some official confusion, Ryan Ford is officially a member of Bellator Fighting Championships’ welterweight roster.
MMAjunkie.com today confirmed with sources that a contract has been signed and delivered to Bellator.
The top Canadian prospect initially announced the deal on Tuesday. He’s now expected to debut at an unannounced October show in Canada, and a win could earn him entry into a future welterweight tournament.

A bout between Brian McLaughlin and middleweight Ron Stallings will be part of next month’s Strikeforce Challengers 17
event.
McLaughlin is expected to replace Adlan Amagov, who apparently was forced off the card for undisclosed reasons.
Strikeforce Challengers 17 takes place July 22 at The Pearl at the Palms
Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The night’s main card, including a trilogy
headliner between Roger Bowling and Bobby Voelker, airs on Showtime.

Following a series of injuries, two new bouts have been booked as late additions to Friday’s Strikeforce Challengers 16 event.
The additions include welterweights Eduardo Pamplona vs. Jerron Peoples and lightweights Sterling Peoples vs. Charon Spain.
Both of the bouts are part of the untelevised preliminary card, which also recently lost welterweights Ryan LaFlare vs. Travis Bush to injuries.

Mike Bronzoulis had already taken a rough and often-delayed road to get to his professional mixed-martial-arts debut in October 2007.
He had been through his parents traveling often, so he was forced to often care for himself. He fought to stay out of gangs, using the martial-arts classes in which his father enrolled him at age 8.
He had been though near legal troubles, a string of jobs and car accidents that led to poor prognoses from his doctors. But his confidence was never shaken, he said, as he continued to believe he was born to be a fighter.
