The UFC’s flyweight division is kicking off quickly in 2012, and the
promotion’s third event on network television today received a second
125-pound affair.
UFC officials today announced that Louis Gaudinot and
John Lineker will meet at UFC on FOX 3.
Verbal agreements are in place for the matchup, and bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.

Now what?
You would suspect that to be the thought of Tachi Palace Fights promoter Jeremy Luchau in the wake of his flyweight champion’s exodus to the UFC and what he expects to be another run on his ranks within the month.
Luchau, however, said the UFC’s new 125-pound division merely shifts the promotion’s focus to the next generation of talent in that division, as well as in the bantamweight and flyweight divisions.

the event that the two fights will take place in Australia, most likely
at Sydney’s Allphones Arena (formerly Acer Arena). The same venue hosted
UFC 110 and UFC 127, which averaged nearly 18,000 attendees per show.

The total disclosed payroll for this past weekend’s Tachi Palace Fights 10 event, which featured some of the world’s top 125-pounders, was $85,500.
The event, “TPF 10: Let the Chips Fall,” took place Aug. 5 at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif.

A unique selling point of Tachi Palace Fights in recent years has been its flyweight division.
The California-based promotion has recruited talent aggressively and built a roster that includes several of the world’s top-ranked 125-pound fighters.
With recent news that the UFC is soon to add the sport’s lightest class to its roster, you’d think Tachi would be bracing itself for a exodus of talent, and naturally not be too happy about it. Tachi Palace entertainment coordinator Jeremy Luchau, though, said he’s been planning on this all along.
