Bellator Fighting Championships’ sixth season is rapidly approaching,
and the company is starting to lay out some of the details.
Bellator officials today announced that the second event of the season,
Bellator 61, will take place on March 16 at the Horseshoe Riverdome in
Bossier City, La.
The event sees a rematch between season-five heavyweight tournament
finalists Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos, as well as the four opening-round contests in the promotion’s
season-six middleweight tournament.

While Brazil has been awarded the first-ever international edition of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Australia may not be far behind.
At a Thursday press gathering Down Under, UFC managing director of
international development Marshall Zelaznik said the company is “close”
to securing a deal for “TUF: Australia vs. U.K.”
If signed, the series would likely film in Australia later this year,
and Brisbane’s Brisbane Entertainment Center has been earmarked to host
the finale.

Don’t expect Jason “Mayhem” Miller to counter UFC president Dana White’s recent criticism.
Following Miller’s flat performance in a loss to fellow coach Michael Bisping at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale, the UFC boss trashed the performance and said he isn’t sure if “Mayhem” will get another invitation to the octagon.
Miller said the criticism was warranted.

Ten months after it began, the end of the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix is in sight.
Multiple sources close to the event told MMAjunkie.com that eight-man tournament’s finals are expected to
head to Columbus, Ohio’s Arnold Sports Festival 2012. The festival has
previously hosted several UFC and
WEC events.
That means March 3 is likely to see a heavyweight bout between Josh
Barnett and Daniel Cormier that
will determine the promotion’s tournament champion.

All 18 fighters who underwent drug testing at this month’s The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale event tested clean for performance-enhancing drugs and recreational/drugs of abuse.
Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer today e-mailed the drug-testing results to MMAjunkie.com.
The TUF 14 Finale took place Dec. 3 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Bantamweight John Dodson and featherweight Diego Brandao were crowned the “TUF 14″ champs.

14″ coach Jason “Mayhem” Miller, and he could be suspended for up to six
months unless cleared by a doctor.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission today released a list of medical
suspensions following The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale.
In the event’s headliner, Miller may have suffered a fractured nose
before was stopped in the third round of the five-round non-title fight
by opposing “TUF 14″ coach Michael Bisping, who walked away with a light
suspension.
