LAS VEGAS – UFC 143 winner Josh Koscheck dropped
the first hint of trouble at this past Thursday’s pre-fight press
conference, when he talked about the importance of “Team Me.”
Following his split-decision win over Mike Pierce at Saturday’s event in Las Vegas, Koscheck opened the flood gates.
“I’ll be training out of Fresno for now,” Koscheck told MMAjunkie.com. “I’m no longer affiliated with some of the people
at the gym that I’ve been training at.”

LAS VEGAS – UFC president Dana White doesn’t anticipate having to find a new heavyweight contender a week after the current one was charged with misdemeanor battery.
White said today that it’s his understanding that the charge arose when Alistair Overeem was confronted outside the restroom of a popular Las Vegas club.
“I don’t think he’s in that much trouble,” White said. “This isn’t a situation where he beat somebody up; I don’t think that’s the case.”

Lose on Saturday night, and it will be curtains for Matt Riddle’s octagon career.
Or will it?
Riddle said the UFC brass has his back when it comes to his work performance, and that buys him a longer shelf life than others. So even if he loses to welterweight newcomer Henry Martinez at UFC 143, he isn’t a man worried about losing his job.

UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre admits UFC 143 is going to be weird. After all, he’ll be rooting for enemy Nick Diaz.
“I want this fight with Diaz so badly – as badly as I wanted the title shot when I got down on my knees,” St-Pierre today told the UFC.
That was seven years ago at UFC 56, when his career looked a whole lot different than it does today. Of all the punches he’s slipped on his current path, this one has hit hardest.
