in Bellator Fighting Championships’ upcoming season-six featherweight
tournament.
MMAjunkie.com today confirmed with sources close to
the fighter that the Brazilian submission ace had been tapped for a
tourney role.
Bellator CEO recently announced Fabiano’s signing via Twitter.

Some 400 hopefuls turned out today at the Newark Liberty International
Airport Marriott in Newark, N.J., to audition for the 14th season of
“The Ultimate Fighter.”
Seen in the crowd were a few familiar faces: UFC vet Din Thomas, who
appeared on the show’s fourth season, and WEC vets Wagnney Fabiano,
Micah Miller and Ian McCall.
“The Ultimate Fighter 14,” which begins production this summer and
debuts in the fall on Spike TV, is expected to feature bantamweight
and/or featherweight fighters. It’s the first time the reality show has
featured competitors in the UFC’s lightest weight classes.

LAS VEGAS – WEC bantamweight Wagnney Fabiano knows
the jury is still largely out regarding his status as a legitimate
contender at 135 pounds.
Following an October 2009 loss to Mackens Semerzier, the Brazilian
grappling ace dropped from featherweight down to 135 pounds to allow his
teammate, Jose Aldo, to take a crack at the belt.
And while Fabiano is 2-0 at 135 pounds, his performances in those two decision
wins have fallen a little short of some of his previous triumphs.
There’s an easy explanation for that, Fabiano says. He was preparing like
a pregnant woman.

A bantamweight bout between recent title challenger Joseph Benavidez and fellow contender Wagnney Fabiano is now official for next month’s WEC 52 card.
Fabinao initially was slated to fight ex-champ Brian Bowles, but as MMAjunkie.com first reported, an injury (foot) forced him off the card.
As expected, Fabiano has taken his spot at the Nov. 11 show.
