In its latest counter-programming move, Spike TV will air a Diego
Sanchez fight marathon opposite next week’s UFC on FUEL TV 1 event.
Sanchez headlines the Feb. 15 event, which airs live on FUEL TV, in a
welterweight bout with fast-rising contender Jake Ellenberger.
During the event time, Spike TV airs a five-hour “UFC Unleashed: Diego Sanchez” marathon featuring the fighter’s past UFC bouts.

So Dennis Siver will fight in Sweden, after all.
After a rumored rematch with Ross Pearson turned out to be much ado
about nothing, UFC officials have instead booked Siver to face Brazilian
featherweight Diego Nunes at April’s UFC on FUEL TV
2 event.
MMAjunkie.com today confirmed the booking, which was
first reported by Swedish site mmanytt.se, with sources close to the
event.

LAS VEGAS – A variety of kicks and solid takedown defense allowed Diego Nunes to scored a decision victory over the tough Manny Gamburyan.
The featherweight bout served as the curtain-jerker for UFC 141, which took place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

On Wednesday’s regular-season finale of “The Ultimate Fighter 14,” Diego Brandao punched his ticket to the featherweight finals with a first-round knockout of WEC vet Bryan Caraway.
Yet, despite his sustained beatdown of a gutsy Caraway, Brandao told MMAjunkie.com Radio he wasn’t really happy with the performance.
Why? The headhunter doesn’t want people thinking his average opponent can withstand his onslaughts the way Caraway did.

A key welterweight matchup between Jake Ellenberger
and Diego Sanchez has been scheduled for February.
MMAjunkie.com today confirmed with sources close to
the event that Ellenberger and Sanchez will headline an
as-yet-unannounced fight card expected to take place on Wednesday, Feb.
15.
While UFC brass have yet to make an official announcement, additional
sources indicated that the event will likely take place in Ellenberger’s
hometown of Omaha, Neb., and air on FUEL TV.

Diego Sanchez has been cleared to resume training.
The UFC veteran recently scratched from a UFC 135 fight with Matt Hughes earlier this month when he was sidelined by a broken right hand.
Doctors, though, have removed his cast and cleared the lightweight fighter to resume training, though no return bout has been booked.
