LAS VEGAS – Depending on who you talk to, Carlos Condit’s
unanimous-decision win over Nick Diaz in the main event of Saturday
night’s UFC 143 event in Las Vegas was either a brilliantly designed and
perfectly executed gameplan or a mockery of mixed martial arts.
While it’s obvious, of course, which Condit believes, you can also count
UFC president Dana White among those who thinks the “Natural Born
Killer” did all the right things.
“Carlos Condit won,” White said following the evening’s post-event press
conference. “He went in there, and he fought a great fight.”

UFC president Dana White was looking to offer an apology but nearly found himself in unpleasant situation.
“I get my gun before answering the door,” Julie Breeler told Las Vegas’
FOX 5. “I crack the door and say, ‘Yes?’ He says, ‘Julie Breeler?’ and
I’m like, ‘Yes.’ He says, ‘Hi, I’m Dana White.’”
White visited Breeler’s home to offer a personal apology for hundreds of
harassing phone calls she received after her information was mistakenly
released by hackers who were trying to attack White.

Earlier today, UFC president Dana White issued an open challenge to
Internet hackers, and it didn’t take long for that community to respond.
A Twitter user claiming to be a member of the same Internet group that
over the weekend attacked UFC.com, UGNazi.com, posted a link to a file
listing the apparent phone number, social security number and current
and past addresses of the UFC boss.
“We don’t want your site anymore,” the user stated via Twitter. “We are
going after YOU! Follow me for tonight’s exciting events.”

CHICAGO – If you were monitoring Twitter on Sunday, news that the UFC website had been rerouted by anti-SOPA hackers didn’t get much of a rise out of its president, Dana White.
Not enough to distract him from watching his beloved New England Patriots win a trip to the Super Bowl.
Things haven’t changed much since then. As the UFC allots additional resources to fight a repeat occurrence of the cyber-attack, White today issued a challenge to those who would hijack the UFC’s URL.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission and the UFC can’t come to an
agreement, but UFC boss Dana White makes a pretty compelling argument.
In his latest video blog, White explains why Duane “Bang” Ludwig – and
not Todd Duffee or Chan Sung Jung – owns the record for the fastest
knockout in UFC history.
Currently, the NSAC doesn’t recognize Ludwig as the record-holder.

TORONTO – Strikeforce is both staying alive and remaining on Showtime.
The promotion, which UFC parent company Zuffa purchased earlier this year, once appeared on its way to the scrap heap of failed MMA promotions.
But with the current broadcast deal set to expire in February, talks between UFC officials and the premium-cable-station representatives proved fruitful, and UFC president Dana White now expects to announce details of a new deal very soon.

As it turns out, Danish welterweight Martin Kampmann wasn’t the only one who couldn’t believe judges were split on his UFC
139 performance against Rick Story.
“Right before we walked in here, I said, ‘Thank God. Congratulations.
You finally pulled one out,’” UFC president Dana White said at
Saturday’s UFC 139 post-event press conference.
“He’s had some tight fights – really tough fights that go right down to the wire – and was on the wrong side of the scoring.”
