BIRMINGHAM, England – British slugger Paul Daley may have
potentially removed himself from UFC president Dana White’s “pay no
mind” list, but don’t expect him to be stepping into the octagon anytime
soon.
At Saturday night’s UFC 138 post-event press conference in Birmingham,
England, UFC president Dana White didn’t necessarily uphold his “never
again” stance on the banished welterweight but did say Daley wasn’t
exactly on his radar.
And while making the comment, White also seemed to suggest that the
current Strikeforce-Showtime talks, of which he recently took charge,
are at least currently ongoing.

It didn’t happen with a bang, but British welterweight star Paul “Semtex” Daley scored his second win in six weeks on Friday, handily decisioning Luigi Fioravanti in the main event of Ringside MMA 12.

Paul Daley picked up his second straight victory and notched his seventh fight in 13 months with a unanimous-decision win over fellow UFC vet Luigi Fioravanti at Friday’s Ringside MMA 12.
The event took place at Montreal’s Bell Centre and marked Daley’s first fight in the city since May 2010, when a post-fight sucker-punch of Josh Koscheck cost Daley his UFC job.
Other weekend winners included Joey Villasenor, Mario Miranda, Ryan Healy, Jimi Manuwa and Joey Gambino.

It’s been longer than you think since Paul Daley was dismissed from the UFC following his post-fight incident with Josh Koscheck at UFC 113.
His post-fight “swipe” at Koscheck was 16 months ago, and a lot has happened since then.
Daley has fought for four different promotions (soon to be five), posted mixed results, and tried to maintain an acceptable level of decorum in the hopes of one day returning to the world’s top MMA promotion.
