Matt Hughes is leaning toward Anderson Silva when the middleweight champ rematches Chael Sonnen at UFC 147, and he doesn’t feel that way because Silva will presumably be healthier this time around.

In fact, Hughes doesn’t really buy into the idea that a rib injury made Silva perform poorly before he managed to pull out a come-from-behind submission at UFC 117.  

“Nobody goes out there 100 percent,” Hughes said on the set of “UFC Tonight” on FUEL TV.

LAS VEGAS – The rematch is happening.

At Saturday night’s UFC 143 post-fight press conference, UFC president
Dana White confirmed that both UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva and his nemesis Chael Sonnen
have verbally agreed to meet in Brazil on an as-yet-undetermined date
in June.

Silva was in Las Vegas for Saturday’s fight card, and White said an agreement was reached during the event.

CHICAGO – Give Chael Sonnen a mic – as reporters recently did at UFC on FOX 2 open workouts – and you get a dizzying and boastful monologue from one of MMA’s biggest talkers.

There are outrageous claims, numerous insults and excessive self-congratulatory proclamations.

Listen long enough, though, and you get some honest and sincere thoughts – though even they sometimes are accompanied by shtick.

Bellator Fighting Championships middleweight title holder Hector Lombard boasts one of the most impressive winning streaks
in all of mixed martial arts, but he’s not exactly a household name.

Chael Sonnen fell short in his bid to unseat UFC middleweight champion
Anderson Silva, yet he’s one of the most sought-after fighters in all of
the sport. That doesn’t sit well with Lombard.

“Chael Sonnen talks [expletive] about everything and the guy is boring
as [expletive],” Lombard said.
