After his dreams of football stardom came crashing down, he picked up
kickboxing on the request of an acquaintance. Then he got addicted, got
good, and needed to spread his wings at a bigger gym.
That gym was Duke Roufus’ Academy in Milwaukee, and now that he’s
working with the big boys, his goal is to keep things rolling against
another former footballer, Ovince St. Preux, whom he
meets tonight at Strikeforce Challengers 17.

A previously reported light heavyweight matchup between knockout artist
Joe Cason and fellow prospect Ovince St-Preux is now official for Strikeforce Challengers 17.
Strikeforce officials recently announced the matchup, which completes the event’s five-fight main card.
Strikeforce Challengers 17 takes place July 22 at The Pearl at the Palms
Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The night’s main card, including a trilogy
headliner between Roger Bowling and Bobby Voelker, airs on Showtime.

Knockout artist Joe Cason has signed a multi-fight
deal with Strikeforce, and fellow light heavyweight prospect Ovince
St-Preux will welcome him to the promotion.
MMAjunkie.com has confirmed with sources
close to the promotion that Cason and St-Preux have each agreed to meet
at Strikeforce Challengers 17, and bout agreements are expected to be
finalized shortly.
