British bantamweight Vaughan Lee is the latest
addition to the UFC, and he’ll debut at November’s UFC 138 event.
UFC officials today announced that Lee has signed on with the promotion
and will debut at UFC 138, which takes place on Nov. 5 at LG Arena at
the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England.
Lee’s opponent was not disclosed.

Nate Marqaurdt is heading across the Pond.
British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) officials today
announced a multi-fight contract with the former UFC contender and King
of Pancrase.
“As soon as we received word that the Pennsylvania State Athletic
Commission lifted Marquardt’s suspension, we jumped at the chance to
sign him,” BAMMA exec Liam Fisher stated. “He is a top-ranked contender
and an asset to any promotion. Words cannot express how excited we are
that Marquardt is now fighting under the BAMMA banner.”

LONDON – Aside from a last-minute save by main-event winner Michael Bisping, Saturday’s UFC 120 card in London wasn’t exactly a shining moment for British MMA.
Three of the country’s biggest stars – Dan Hardy, John Hathaway and “The Ultimate Fighter 9″ winner James Wilks – were easily defeated by their American counterparts in high-profile main-card bouts at The O2.
But UFC president Dana White said the results won’t do anything to hurt the growth of the UFC in the U.K.

LONDON – Hoping to gain some momentum and attention despite never competing on American soil, Swedish fighter Alexander Gustafsson out-struck a fellow striker and ultimately earned a second-round submission victory over Frenchman Cyrille Diabate.
The light-heavyweight bout was the featured attraction from UFC 120′s untelevised preliminary card.
The event took place today at The 02 with a soldout crowd that filled the London venue long before the main card even began.

Undefeated British welterweight Mark Scanlon has replaced an injured Kenny Robertson and meets fellow UFC newcomer Pascal Krauss at next month’s UFC 122 event.
That’s the word from German MMA site groundandpound.de, though MMAjunkie.com could not immediately confirm the change.
UFC 122 takes place Nov. 13 at Konig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, and airs via same-day delay on Spike TV.
