After a pre-UFC 136 buildup largely void of any of Sonnen’s famed
trashtalking and epic rants, the top middleweight contender wasted
little time in further alienating any Brazilian fans he may have had by
proclaiming himself the UFC’s true middleweight champion and offering
Anderson Silva a second crack at the title.
Oh yeah, and he called Vitor Belfort a fool and ordered “The Phenom” to carry his luggage to the airport.

The injury that forced Vitor Belfort out of a featured UFC 139 slot is simply a speed bump on his quest for a UFC title, and he’s planning to return to the cage before year’s end.
While a recent in-studio guest on MMAjunkie.com Radio, Belfort said he’s specifically targeting a return at the year-end UFC 141 event in Las Vegas.
As for a potential opponent, Belfort has his sights on the winner of an upcoming UFC 136 fight between Chael Sonnen and Brian Stann. He’d be happy with either opponent. But for very different reasons.

An injury has forced Vitor Belfort out of November’s UFC 139 event, and fellow middleweight Wanderlei Silva has stepped in to fight Cung Le.
UFC president Dana White today announced the change via Twitter.
UFC 139 takes place Nov. 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. The night’s main card, including Dan Henderson vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, airs on pay-per-view.
