The USA TODAY Sports Media Group announced today that its MMA destination, MMAjunkie.com, will be the exclusive online home for live coverage of Cage Warriors Fighting Championship events in 2012.
Cage Warriors, the top MMA circuit in the U.K. and Europe, has sent many top prospects on to compete within organizations including the UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator.
MMAjunkie.com will provide free live streams of all 16 Cage Warriors shows in the coming year, including three during the month of February.

As expected Strikeforce and Showtime have inked a new deal that will keep the Zuffa-owned fight promotion on the premium-cable station.
Officials today the deal, which calls for up to eight events, though no timeframe was disclosed for the shows.
As part of the deal, main-card bouts will continue to air on Showtime, and preliminary-card fights now will be broadcast on sister channel Showtime Extreme.

The UFC is going to strike while the iron is hot.
Following a successful lighter-weights season of “The Ultimate Fighter”
reality series on Spike TV, the UFC is going even lighter and adding a
125-pound flyweight division.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the long-rumored division – which
will be the UFC’s eighth – should be announced within the next few days.

The Japanese-based DREAM organization and the upstart ONE Fighting Championship promotion today announced a partnership.
As part of the deal, the organizations will co-promote events and have agreed to exchange fighters for their respective shows.
The deal goes into affect immediately, and the first co-promoted show is tentatively slated for March 31.

Zuffa LLC, the UFC’s parent company, and Ubisoft have announced a resolution to a dispute over video-game packaging.
The dispute arose from the packing for “Fighters Uncaged,” a Ubisoft street-fighting video game released in 2010.
As part of the agreement, Ubisoft has ceased selling the video game with the use of “Ultimate Fighting” references on the packaging, officials announced Thursday.

M-1 Global’s return to Showtime is now official with five main-card contests.
The premium-cable channel recently announced four new contests for “M-1 Challenge 26: Bennett vs. Garner,” including Arthur Guseinov vs. Tyson Jeffries, Josh Bacallao vs. Mairbek Taisumov, Beau Baker vs. Daniel Weichel and Eddie Arizmendi vs. Jason Norwood.
Featuring a rematch between M-1 Selection 2010 heavyweight tournament finalists Pat Bennett and Kenny Garner, “M-1 Challenge 26: Bennett vs. Garner” takes place July 8 at The Hangar in Costa Mesa, Calif., and airs on Showtime.
