Cheaters never win. But thieves can prosper – and apparently gain some
international exposure in the process.
After shocking many MMA fans with his brazen thiefdom during a
pay-per-view broadcast this past weekend, UFC 115′s mystery hat-stealer
earned a spot on this week’s ESPN-SportsCenter’s “Not Top 10″ list.
At UFC 115, the same fan swiped hats off both Ben Rothwell and Paulo
Thiago – and nearly swiped another off Martin Kampmann – during their
walkouts to the cage.

UFC heavyweight Pat Barry broke his hand and foot in a co-main event
bout with Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic this past Saturday at UFC 115 and
will wear a hand cast and foot “boot” – or therapeutic brace – for five
weeks.
However, Barry today told MMAjunkie.com that he will
likely only need a few weeks of rehabilitation before he can return to
the gym.

I’ll be honest, man; as soon as this fight was over, I just wanted to
get out of this cast and out of this boot and get right back into the
gym.”

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – UFC welterweight and self-described
adrenaline junkie Paulo Thiago says it’s much easier
than you’d think to be a fighter and a special forces police officer.

But as far as he goes in MMA, there’s one thing he won’t give up, and
that’s his day job.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Getting kicked by UFC heavyweight Pat Barry on daily basis sucks. Getting kicked by Pat Barry while holding pads from the Reagan era really, really sucks.
Jeff “Duke” Roufus, Barry’s trainer, found himself in that position today at an open workout promoting Barry’s fight with Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic this Saturday at UFC 115.
Delta Airlines lost the luggage containing his gear on the flight into Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and he had to ask UFC welterweight Claude Patrick’s trainer for an extra pair of kick pads and hand mitts.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic is on the last fight of his UFC contract and wants to keep fighting. But if he doesn’t ink a new UFC deal, he’s not shopping himself to Japan.
Instead, he’s done.
“I will extend the contract, or I will go retire,” said Filipovic, who on Saturday faces Pat Barry on the pay-per-view portion of UFC 115. “But I think I will keep fighting.”

Days before his octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 20, Rory MacDonald felt fine.
The hotel lobby looked like any other fight show. More organized, yes, but basically the same vibe. The weigh-ins were fine. So was the van ride to the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., where the event was held.
It wasn’t until he actually set foot in the octagon to face longtime MMA veteran and fellow UFC newcomer Mike Guymon that the dreaded “octagon jitters” set in.
